A day late, a dollar short

Monday's comic is up, although I'm posting this entry on Tuesday. Don't concern yourself with these trivial matters of time. All the days run together for me, anyway.

So Dave is exploring the world of online personal ads. I have to admit that I had a brief flirtation with Yahoo! Personals a while back, with hilarious (not hilarious at the time) results. It really is the closest thing to an online wasteland on there in terms of the mental quality of people who register. And...if you're a Yahoo! Personals user, rest assured I'm talking about everyone except you.

George Comics wins!

Thanks to everyone who helped George vault past Popealien at Webcomic Battle. There's already a new battle up and it can be voted on until 11:59 p.m. Eastern time, Thursday.

In the meantime, Thursday's comic is up. I actually bought the Chihuahua version of Nintendogs and bought a chihuahua in it, then named it Chiwawa. Man I'm a nerd, but maybe it'll give me ideas for things to do with Chiwawa. Badabing too, maybe. Who knows?

Voto para George!

Hey everybody, head on over to Webcomic Battle and vote for George! There's a new strip debuting there today and it'll run there until about 11 p.m. or so Pacific time, so as of right now you've got at least fourteen hours to get those votes in. Badabing!

Here, kitty kitty!

Well, today's strip marked the debut of George's cat. Sort of. I mean, George had a cat when I did the comic back in high school, but it was full-grown, was named Babong, and its origins were never fully disclosed. So now he gets a fresh start in the cat business, with the tiny kitten with the much cuter name of...well, you'll just have to tune in Monday to find out what its name is.

Also, I think I forgot to mention this (and if I did already mention this then...well, listen to it again), but there's a full-color PDF version of the first George book, featuring 64 of the comic's first strips. Download it from the Downloads page (where else?). It's not terribly big but is still of decent quality, at least for on-screen viewing. Happy reading.

Back from Ozzfest!

New Monday comic up, which you might remember debuted over at WebComic Battle about a week ago. It won two battles and succumbed to Popealien the next, but at least it won a couple times. I'll submit another one when I...get around to it.

Ozzfest was pretty fun, but man was it tiring. My right knee still doesn't work quite right. But seeing Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath made up for it! Ozzy still rocks, despite the fact that he's something of a corporate clown nowadays. Tony Iommi has cemented his place among the top rock/metal guitarists of all time, too.

New post goes here!

New comic up for Thursday. Probably the only time you'll ever see Rob with a mustache. Greg looks pretty cool without one, doesn't he? He almost looks like he could be hip. But, alas, he's not, so the mustache must be rebuilt!

I'm going to Ozzfest this weekend so maybe I'll make a comic about that for next week. Ozzy biting George's head off? Time will only tell.

Prepare for battle!

Head on over to WebComic Battle and vote for George! A brand new comic is debuting there today, and, if it successfully fights off today's challenger, will be appearing tomorrow as well. So vote!

The mustached avenger

New comic up! Also, head on over to Webcomic Battle and vote for any George comic strip you might see! There's a new George strip debuting there within the next couple of days, so keep on the lookout for it.

I printed up 20 or so of those George books I was talking about last week (oh, the joys of having an industrial-strength printer at work) and they look good. If I can print any more without getting myself in trouble, I will and maybe will mail them to some lucky readers.
